Canada day one

by Freya Laughton on March 27, 2012

I pictured spending our first day sipping hot chocolate and people watching, but the sun was shining and my parents were eager to explore so I had no excuse to sit around.

So, after 21 hours travel from Penzance to Vancouver and 10 hours of jet-lag sleep we were ready to venture out into the city, first stop UBC Museum of Anthropology.

The museum sits in the grounds of the University, close to the water, the main room is very light and airy with floor to ceiling windows looking out over a small lake to the mountains.

And a food market with the finest selection of local produce….
